Health Department Services

A registered nurse is always available during Health Department hours to provide public health services and answer your questions. The Health Department is not a clinic, and has no physician available.

The Health Department works with local physicians to assist you in finding the services you need.
Services provided in cooperation with the Missouri Department of Health:

* Control of contagious diseases
* Laboratory testing for some diseases
* Food safety inspections
* Motel inspections
* Women, Infants and Children’s Nutrition Program
* Birth and death records
* Immunizations for children
* Water testing
* Breastfeeding information
* Annual flu shot clinic

Services provided through local funding:

* Pregnancy testing
* TB Testing
* Immunizations for adults
* Blood pressure screening
* Height and weight screening
* New baby home visits
* Car seat training and distribution
* Cholesterol screening
* Monthly community clinics
* Annual babysitting class

The Health Department can also provide by arrangement:

* Health education programs
* Vision screening
* Hearing screening
* First Aid and CPR instruction
* Arthritis exercise classes
* Arthritis Aquatics exercise classes
* Allergy shots
