Certified copies of Missouri birth and death records are available for a fee through the Vernon County Health Department. Missouri birth certificates are available through the Health Department for persons born in Missouri since 1910. There is a $15 charge for birth certificates. In Missouri, birth records are not public records and telephone verifications are not provided. Death certificates are available through the Vernon County Health Department for Missouri deaths back to 1980. For death certificates dated 1910 to 1979, you must contact the Missouri Department of Health at http://www.health.state.mo.us/BirthAndDeathRecords/BirthAndDeathRecords.html There is a $13 charge for death certificates.
